Project Detail

Work consisted of constructing a 1-story 12,000 sf municipal building including offices, police facilities and public assembly, and two small 2nd floor HVAC equipment platforms. The building had concrete footings, foundation walls, and slabs-on-grade, structural steel frame, main lobby with heavy timber trusses. Perimeter areas with roof rafters of heavy timber. The skin of the building was clapboard fiber cement fastened to insulated gypsum-sheathed heavy-gauge engineered steel stud walls, and at the cellblock, concrete back-up walls. Roofing was standing seam metal over insulated nail base sheathing. Roof deck over timber trusses was composite Tectum panels. Windows, curtain walls, clerestories and entrances were framed in aluminum and glazed with high-performance insulated glass. Interior operating systems included HVAC, plumbing and electric. A diesel-fired emergency generator was installed. Technology infrastructure consisted of a cable plant, data network, voice and security systems including electronic access control at selected doors and surveillance cameras as well as sound system in the Council Room. Site work included site clearing, utilities, storm water management, concrete curbs/sidewalks, lighting, pavers, amenities and landscaping.
