Project consisted of renovations to an existing building housing courtrooms, sheriff’s offices and the older section of the County jail. Work included renovations to the sheriff’s space in the basement, including the addition of a new sally port, and conversions of third floor jail areas into additional sheriff department office space. Second and Third floor were added to an existing three story high atrium; the 2nd floor was fitted out for additional space for the judiciary. The atrium 1st floor remolded and reconfigured for secure screening. Work for the jail included the small addition for the officer’s dining area, conversion of the existing sally port into a food service storage area with walk-in cooler & freezer, renovations to laundry including installation of commercial washers and dryers, and installation of security doors and security cameras. Types of work performed included demolition, concrete and masonry, structural steel, steel decking, building insulation, framing & GWB, EPDM Membrane roof, detention and commercial hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors, glazing, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpet, painting, security ceilings, lockers, kitchen equipment with walk-in cooler and appliances, toilet compartments and fixtures, casework, sprinkler system, plumbing and piping, HVAC, testing and balancing, natural gas piping, hydronic piping, electrical, communications horizontal cabling, fire alarm, video surveillance system, electric door monitoring and control systems.
