Design-Build project to construct a 48,200 square foot, two-story Pennsylvania National Guard Readiness Center serving 270 soldiers. The facility included over 12,000 square feet of offices, a 6300 square foot Assembly Hall, a 120 seat Auditorium, personnel and unit storage rooms,
secure arms vaults, loading docks, locker rooms and an elevator.
The building was also constructed to provide a secure briefing room with a SIPRNet telecommunication closet, complete building access controls and security, Building Automation System, fire alarm and a public adder system. Exterior construction for the facility included 3,300 square yards of asphalt pavement, more than 6, 100 square yards of heavy-duty concrete pavement for Military Equipment Parking, 575 linear feet of fence, access gates and utilities to include natural gas, electric, water, sewer, and telecom services.
A storm water management system was also constructed to include a water quality unit and a half-acre retention pond. Anti-Terrorism Force Protection measures were incorporated into the design and construction, to include blast-proof windows and barriers
The project was required to meet a LEED Silver Certification. Project was a Joint Venture, Eagle as the General Contractor performing all Site Work, Carpentry Trades**, Finishes, HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical. Eagle Construction also provided Project Management services with a full-time Superintendent / Site Safety and Health Officer and a Contractor QC Manager. Additional supplemental support was also provided by the Corporate Safety Manager.
